The book gods were not smiling on me this week. I walked to the library (in the SNOW) on Monday to return some books, forgot that it was a state holiday for Lincoln's Birthday, so no library. Tuesday, the snow was just too awful, couldn't leave the building (almost didn't even want to go home from work. Almost.) So, yesterday, I finally found something - Crawling by Elisha Cooper. A memoir about a father's first year as a father.
Then, a co-worker who had borrowed a book that I hadn't read yet returned it, and the McSweeney's compilation I ordered from Amazon came in a week early. So I'm stocked for a couple weeks now. And the book gods rejoiced.
